Objective
I’m hoping to achieve part-time or casual employment whilst completing my studies at University. To further solidify the skills I am learning at University, employment int he field of Media and Communications would be preferred.
Experience
MISSBISH July 2015 - Current
-
In my personal time I work as a Senior Editor for an online editorial platform focused on strong, female-driven content, MISSBISH is a curated experience for active & inspirational women’s culture.
-
As Senior Editor I produce editorial style pieces and help build strong partnerships with brands that align with the sites values and goals.
-
MISSBISH also keeps me up to date on popular cultural trends and world events.
-
As it is an online website I am more than competent in computer skills, having had to become fluent in WordPress, Excel and editing software’s.
-
Due to my role I have also become great at time-management and organisational skills, as I have had to organise feature photo-shoots and interviews, brand endorsements and produce strategies for our social media marketing.
Golden Capital Restaurant June 2015- June 2017
-
Whilst living abroad for the past two years in Canada I worked as a server and front of house manager at the Golden Capital Restaurant.
-
I was responsible for food service, over the phone pick-up and delivery orders, the management of front of house and the cash out when working a closing shift.
-
Working in a fast paced restaurant with the level of responsibility I had further solidified my communication and problem solving skills, ensuring every customer left happy.
Elm Catering June 2016 – June 2017
-
For a part of my duration in Canada I also worked events for a catering company, providing me with a higher level of customer service skills, as we were taught to truly go above and beyond for the customer.
-
For many of the events there was no upper management at the site, which was a great learning opportunity, causing me to be my own manager and ensure the event runs as smoothly as possible.
-
Working for Elm provided me great opportunities to learn new skills as I worked many different styles of events, from an eight-course fine dining dinner, to a passed hors d'oeuvre cocktail style evening, and even high tea bridal parties.
